FAQ

There have been so many notes sent to me lately with requests to use my artwork, share my artwork...etc that I have to record these FAQ here for my own sanity...and as a point of reference for those who need to know.

I'd like to make it clear that I appreciate anyone asking me questions (rather than just going ahead and abusing my work as though ignorance=innocence) but I have these FAQ on my front page, they've been there for ages...but no one seems to read them

so here are the most often asked and answered questions..........


Want to share my artwork with your friends?

I give permission for you to share my artwork on your facebook page but please make sure it links to my website www.gingerkellystudio.com or my own facebook page: www.facebook.com/GingerKellyStudio   and please credit me as either...' Artist: Lauren Kelly Small' or 'Art by Ginger Kelly Studio'

You must not crop, tube or change the artwork in any way and it must never be posted without a clear credit and link back to my website or facebook page. Any violation of these terms will result in much unpleasantness for you.

Want to use my artwork?

I am frequently asked by various groups/people if they may tube or manipulate my artwork to create signatures, banners, icons etc.

The answer is no.

I'm sorry. No. I do not allow this kind of use of my artwork.
My artworks are not stock images.
They do not belong to the public domain

Anyone wishing to use stock images they might find something useful in my stock account GoblinStock

Anyone wishing to use my artwork for personal, non-commercial use would need to purchase a non-exclusive licence. This can be arranged easily & if you would like more info please let me know.

Oh, but I need you to do this for free! Why don't you work for free?

I am a professional artist and do not have the luxury of being able to spend my time painting without charging for my time.

Do you have a job?
Do you have to buy food?
Do you have to pay rent?
I do. Creating art is my job. It needs to pay for my food and shelter. So unless you can provide me with a home and three meals a day then I cannot work for you for free.

_{If you CAN provide me with a home and three meals a day and you happen to live in a castle in Ireland (with a stable full of horses of course) then I will happily paint every wall in your castle and even bake you a cake every day... (and my cakes are delicious!)}
